Martyn Carrington

Co-Founder and Chief Pilot for Ethel Dares, Martyn is certainly no stranger to biplanes or wing walking.

Starting flying lessons aged just 9, he has since amassed more than 9000 flying hours at the controls of many vintage types and holds a full Commercial Pilots Licence. He also holds a UK Display Authorisation.

Martyn’s wing walking adventures began in the year 2000 aged 26, after he landed a job in a world renowned formation aerobatic wingwalking display team. Here he flew in the colours of some very high profile brands such as Utterly Butterly, Guinot and Breitling, becoming their Chief Pilot.

Over the 20 years that followed, this role took him around the globe to more than 20 countries, where he performed at many large events, often rubbing shoulders with many a celebrity or VIP! .
